Game developers/3D animator's (etc) give me tips!

Im going to be straight up, I want to make a game for my character, at first she was her own character before turning her into a Rayman OC, I wanted to make something for fun. I am a huge Rayman fan owning at least 5 games (thats good enough lol. . Im 14 years old by the way, but I am a fast learner.) I want to make my game look like a ps1 styled game. With great details, I will be using blender and Godot, (Godot is a game engine that helps give you that oldschool pixelated style. I heard that Puppet Combo used it, or something like that.) I am a beginner, but I’m also learning through youtube videos and practicing.

I am also learning animation on blender. The inspiration for my game is Rayman M, Rayman 2: The great escape, Super Mario 64, Cuphead, Crash Bandicoot, Banjo Kazooie, and Pikmin! When I was like 5 I hated how ending cutscenes to a game lasted 3 minutes or less. I want my game to make you feel like you accomplished something. It should be atleast 20 minutes.

From what my friends / teachers say, I am really great at story telling. I grew up watching TV shows that expressed a BUNCH of emotion, and some shows I shouldn’t had watched when I was a kid… COOL shows including Invader ZIM, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Avatar, Spongebob, CatDog, etc..

I didn't know where else to spread this information but to DeviantArt. Tiktok relies on how many followers you have, people on youtube dont click on stuff like that.. and reddit is.. well.. reddit. Besides I have a bunch of online friends on here who can help. (We aren’t talking about discord…)

The thing is.. I have little motivation and will give up after a while, coming back and my skills are all messed up. Can somebody give me any tips and tricks, or just some motivation? I’m genuinely wanting to do something instead of sitting around scrolling on tiktok mindlessly. (Also sorry for bad grammar, im typing on my phone using the « Computer mode »

(this was copied from my deviantart forum, sorry if some words aren’t correct)
